About the Book:

I believe in your healing. Of course, facing our emotions and self-limiting beliefs can be scary. We all need a safe space to heal and feel supported along the way. This Book is a Safe Space is meant to do exactly that - be a safe space for your healing.

Welcome to your safe space. Throughout the book, I share my own challenges and journey with anxiety and self-criticism, so you never feel alone. I also introduce coping strategies that have worked for me, as well as science-based therapy strategies I have learned in my clinical training to help you on your healing journey.

Your mind can be a safe space too. This Book is a Safe Space is jam packed with coping strategies, journal prompts, and mini challenges at the end of each chapter. I break down science and psychology into simple illustrations and formats to take you through 4 healing journeys….

  • 1. Breathe into awareness

    • Relax the body so we can relax the mind

    • Build self awareness

    • Learn how to observe our own thoughts and actions

  • 2. Emotions are teachers

    • Identify the meaning behind emotions

    • Notice how emotions feel in our bodies

    • Learn how to cope with strong emotions

  • 3. You are not your thoughts

    • Identify thinking patterns

    • Replace self-defeating thoughts and beliefs

    • Reflect on how core beliefs were formed

  • 4. You are safe, you are worthy, you are lovable

    • Reconnect with the present moment

    • Protect our time, peace, and energy

    • Reconnect and honour our authentic selves

So if you are looking to:

  • Build your coping toolbox to better handle distressing emotions and thoughts

  • Let go of self limiting beliefs and consciously recreate new beliefs about yourself

  • Practice self love and be kinder to yourself

  • Honour your authentic self instead of living for other people

  • And feel more at peace

Then welcome to your safe space 💜
